About Mrs Dorman
Ms Sara Dorman is a Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in paediatric upper limb conditions, cerebral palsy management, congenital hand differences, limb deformity correction, and complex paediatric trauma.
She holds a substantive consultant post at Sheffield Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, where her clinical practice is exclusively paediatric. She manages complex upper limb reconstruction, neuromuscular conditions, paediatric fractures, and limb deformity cases within a tertiary referral setting.
She completed higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedics in the UK, followed by advanced paediatric and upper limb fellowships in the UK and Australia. She has also undertaken international clinical work supporting paediatric orthopaedic service development.
Her clinical practice combines complex reconstructive upper limb surgery, paediatric trauma, and deformity correction, underpinned by a strong academic and teaching portfolio.

Expert Witness & Report Preparation Experience
Ms Dorman commenced medico-legal practice in 2024 following completion of formal expert
witness training, including Bond Solon Excellence in Report Writing (England & Wales).
She accepts instructions in paediatric orthopaedic matters, including fracture management, upper
limb conditions, cerebral palsy management, deformity correction, and complex paediatric trauma.
Her reports are CPR Part 35 compliant, clear, balanced, and evidence-based. She is instructed by
both Claimant and Defendant firms.

Payment Terms
Our standard payment terms are 90 days from the date of invoice. However, we understand the
funding structures within medico-legal work and are able to agree extended payment
arrangements, where appropriate, subject to written agreement at the point of instruction and
internal compliance checks. Extended arrangements may be agreed for up to 36 months depending
on the nature of the matter and the instructing firm.
Turn Around Times
Ms Dorman aims to provide reports promptly and efficiently. Typical turnaround times are: 10–14
working days for standard cases • 14–28 working days for complex cases • 5–10 working days for
urgent cases.
