Gail Tomkins

Owner and CEO

Gail is the owner of Virtual Admin UK and the glue that keeps our family together. After spending 12 years as a senior partner legal secretary in the subspecialties of family law, conveyancing and personal injury, she created Virtual Admin UK to offer clients flexible and individually tailored services. Gail has an exceptional eye for detail, no doubt stemming from her days working as a publications assistant.


Gail holds Legal Secretaries (ILEX) Diploma (Distinction), First year ILEX Level 3 and Counselling Level 1 qualifications.


Believing in continuous professional and personal development, Gail encourages all associates to update their skills and complete CPD courses to maintain a competitive edge. Regular team member meetings are held with open and honest discourse to ensure all associates are happy doing work they both excel at and enjoy. She welcomes input and creative ideas to keep a fresh outlook on business activity.


As Richard Branson said, “Take care of your staff, and they will take care of your business. It's that simple”.


Gail loves spending time with her boys, kayaking, swimming and reading. On weekends you will find her enjoying the beautiful outdoors in Cornwall.

MaryAnn Buonanno-Aspden

Executive Associate and Business Development Manager

MaryAnn is our Executive Associate and Business Development Manager and is a vital key to our successful future. MaryAnn’s fingers are in most of the pies including marketing, new business and she is the fundamental support in the day to day running of the business. She brings positivity, motivation and structure to the whole family.


MaryAnn has a degree specialising in Industrial and Organisational Psychology and at one time was a registered counsellor.

MaryAnn assists with HR and recruitment related tasks and is responsible for the training of new team members. Her role as a Business Development Manager ensures that our clients' needs and expectations are exceeded. She also oversees our psychological reports department.


She also comes from a design background and has a keen eye for detail and enjoys the creative aspects of growing a business.  


MaryAnn spends her weekends trail running, Chi Quong Shibashi and studying Canine Behaviour Management.

Nicole Hutchison

Associate and IT Wizard

Nicole is our number one go-to person for any IT related issues. Always quick to learn new computer packages that guarantee we can operate at maximum efficiency; Nicole has proven to be a real gem!


Nicole’s skills are wide and varied, and she demonstrates the ability to fulfil many roles here at Virtual Admin UK. Currently, she focuses on diary and email management and compiling psychology reports.


Nicole’s positive and professional approach is reflected in our clients’ confidence in trusting us to manage their business.  


Nicole holds a diploma in travel and tourism and previously worked for a large Estate Agency in the accounts department for 10 years. She has authored her first novel and loves spending time playing with and reading to her daughter.

Rebecca Nazim

Associate and Customer Liaison Queen

We knew 5 seconds into our interview with Rebecca that she would fit perfectly into the Virtual Admin UK family. Rebecca has several years experience within the NHS specialising in clinic management and administration. She is the backbone of one of our top consultant’s medico-legal practices, ensuring it runs like a well-oiled machine! Rebecca is passionate about building good relationships with our service users and clients in order to provide an excellent service and remains calm under pressure which is key in her role.


Rebecca has a creative side and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Media. If you ask us, she should be in front of the camera more which is why she currently runs our online training support sessions for clients.


Rebecca believes in a holistic way of living and focusing on the importance of self-care, especially in today’s environment. Rebecca runs her own business within the health and wellness industry and loves spending time hiking with her family.

Rosie Emmerson

Associate & Clinic Management Star

Rosie is a rising star! Currently completing a BSc Psychology degree and with a keen interest in Neuropsychology, she has the determination and ambition to reach her goal of putting those DClinPsy letters behind her name.


Rosie currently specialises in the management of orthopaedic consultancy clinics and compiling medico-legal reports in the field of psychology. Rosie is passionate about building strong relationships with our clients and ensuring their clinics run smoothly and successfully.


Rosie is an exceptionally well-organised and goal orientated individual who not only works for Virtual Admin UK but also as a part-time SEN teaching assistant highlighting her ability to communicate on all levels which is important in our line of work. Rosie regularly volunteers at mental-health charities demonstrating her compassionate and caring nature.


Ascribing to a healthy body / healthy mind ethos, Rosie is very active with her weight and hill-sprint training. She loves nothing better than cooking healthy meals and spending quality time with her loved ones.

Sarah Kay

Associate and Legal Eagle

Hailing from a legal background, Sarah is well versed in the importance of privacy and confidentiality. With over two decades of experience in Court of Protection work and Conveyancing, Sarah deals with the most privileged information here at Virtual Admin UK.

Sarah is responsible for various confidential administrative and research projects.


Sarah holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB Hons) degree and Graduate of Institute of Legal Executives, RSA I, II and III. She has done work for Law Courts, the Army and Police.


One of Sarah’s greatest strengths lies in her willingness to take on complex tasks that require discipline, dedication and the finest attention to detail. Her skills include document formatting and preparation of legal paperwork. 


Sarah is a sincere and bubbly person, a keen horse rider and loves to sing! Since moving to Cornwall she enjoys exploring all the wonderful beaches and amazing countryside with her family.

Charlotte Clarkson

Super Support Team Lead

Charlotte is our new Support Team Lead. She has a sense of optimism with a ‘never give up’ perspective. Charlotte is a great team player who has made her the perfect fit for our team.


Charlotte holds a Certificate in Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Ultrasound Screening, A BSc Honours in Diagnostic Radiography and an NVQ Level 3 in Oral Health Care (Dental Nursing).

Charlotte’s previous role involved screening clients within the community at General Practitioner practices with the use of ultrasound to diagnose abdominal aortic aneurysms. She also worked as a Dental Nurse.

In her spare time, Charlotte loves spending time with her family and has a keen interest in diet, nutrition and researching alternative therapies.

As part of our support team, Charlotte provides assistance in all departments and wherever her particular skills are required.

General Associates and Typists

We also have a team of typists who, according to their skills we allocate to a certain client. They will predominately work for that client and work will be overseen by a Senior Associate.

We ensure that each client's work can be undertaken by more than one team member, in that way there is always cover for your work.
